Falklands adventure

Photography widow flew south for the winter this year, when I say south I mean much further and we'd be coming North again.

Are you sitting comfortably? It's a long story and like most things in my world it began with a "bright idea" about 3 years ago.........

Fancy going to the Falklands?(him)
Yes dear that sounds nice (me, probably only half paying attention)
Cool, I'll tell Craig yes then (him)
Craig who (me, listening a bit more now)
You know Craig, the photographer I went to Parkgate with (him)
Oh I remember, that bloody freezing day I had to get up at dawn and drive an hour there and back twice over (me)
That's him, so I'll tell him yes then (him)
Yes, dear (me, sighing used to these moments of strangeness which often don't amount to anything)

About a month passes.................

"How much!!!!"

So it begins.............. Fast forward to Feb 2013

ACT ONE : Panini's , Penguins and prawns.

There can't be many sights stranger than standing in a queue at a military base with a man in a penguin suit ... well actually looking out of an aircraft window at 4 people in penguin suits and an air traffic controller sporting a giant hand  tops it but I'm getting ahead of myself already.

If you ever happen to have the (mis)fortune to fly with xxxx airlines and you're not a fan of the culinary delights of the toasted cheese panini then I highly recommend you develop a sudden gluten intolerance as the menu appears to improve dramatically. In fact from now on I will be gluten intolerant on all forthcoming commercial air flights/ferry crossings/train journeys.
